SDMSMK Kalasala has established Institutions’ Innovation Council (IC202430016) on the campus as per the norms of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, during the academic year (2023-2024). The council meetings of  IIC were conducted for the academic year (2024-2025) & activities in each quarter were taken up as given by MoE (Ministry of Education). The council members discussed the activities (IIC Calendar, Celebration & Self-Driven) and features of the IIC portal. The members deliberated the quarterly action plan in synchronisation with activities and initiatives of other departments and the facilities available in the Institute. And several activities under the IIC banner are conducted regularly.

Objectives:

·         To nurture, counsel, mentor and lead students to create and carry out entrepreneurial activities.

·         To inculcate the entrepreneurial spirit by organizing Workshops, Seminars, competitions in business plans and entrepreneurship orientation programs to youngsters.

·         To facilitate regular interactions among students, startup promoters, officials, executives and other stakeholders.

·         To collaborate with established organizations to create the necessary ecosystem to facilitate startup culture.

·         To provide all needed support from successful promoters to students in fulfil their entrepreneurial aspirations.
