Greetings!

        Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala was established in 1983 by the Siddhartha Academy of General and Technical Education with vision to create empowered women with great inner strength. The motto – ‘Aatma Deepobhava’ is the guiding force behind all the activities and programmes undertaken by the institution. The institution which was started with 140 students in 1983 has now transformed into a giant amongst its class. It is an ISO certified institution and secured 79^th Rank in Indian rankings in 2017 conducted by NIRF. There are 2820 students in UG courses, 110 dedicated teaching staff and 52 diligent non-teaching staff who work for the well-being of the student fraternity. The college presently offers 19 programmes at UG level with Certificate and Value Added Courses, Entrepreneur Development Courses and  Skill Development Courses in association with APSSDC. Participative learning methods, Personality Development programmes, co-curricular, extra-curricular activities, seminars, workshops and extension activities are the hall marks of the institution to transform students into wholesome personalities. The college has established an excellent academic tradition and contributed many a gem of students to various walks of life. The students of Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala are an amalgamation of academic competence and personal excellence. All these 36 years of its fruitful existence, the faculty have been working diligently and relentlessly to mould the students into knowledgeable, resourceful, creative, competent, morally upright and balanced personalities who are sensitive to human values.

                          As Swami Vivekananda advocated, the institution aims at ‘an education by which character is formed; strength of the mind is increased and the intellect is expanded’. 

           I’m extremely honoured and delighted to take up the challenging task of instilling and enhancing the Quality Quotient as Special Officer at Sri Durga Malleswara Siddhartha Mahila Kalasala from July 2024! As John Ruskin says, “Quality is never an accident. It is always the result of intelligent effort”, I hope to use the best of my faculties of head and heart to be instrumental in bringing greater glory and accolades to this prestigious institution, which has carved for itself a niche status in women’s education in the state of Andhra Pradesh. This glorious institution with its committed band of dedicated faculty, under the leadership of stalwart management members, Directors and Principals, has reaped a rich harvest of Awards and Rankings. The A++ grade by NAAC, CPE status, the ISO certification, 79th rank by NIRF are all rejoinders of the sheer hard work and commitment towards excellence in all quarters. The motto of the college ‘Aatma Deepobhava’ guides the college to become an instrument of change empowering young women to become holistic leaders in multitudinous fields.
