SDMSMK Kalasala has established Institutions’ Indian Knowledge System on the campus as per the norms of the Indian Knowledge System, Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, during the academic year (2024-2025). The members of the IKS Committee deliberated the action plan in unison with the activities and initiatives of other departments and the facilities available in the Institute. Several activities under the IKS banner are conducted regularly.

To celebrate our roots, empower women, and shape future leaders by learning from the timeless and tireless wisdom of Indian knowledge systems.

Mission:

To provide ample opportunities for women students to explore, learn and critically engage with multiple dimensions of Indian Knowledge System.

To integrate traditional wisdom with contemporary education for innovation and holistic growth of the new women.

To cultivate leadership and ethical values for collaborating on research and disseminating knowledge.

 To encourage the sense of responsibility towards society and environment through Indian knowledge system.

Objectives:

To foster collaboration with academic institutions& experts to nurture holistic development through seminars, workshops and guest lectures on the themes of Indian Knowledge System.

To develop student competencies in cultural communication and promote awareness of ecological sustainability and ethics rooted in indigenous practices.

To promote inclusive research and to connect traditional knowledge with contemporary challenges.
