STUDENTS' UNION
Students' Union has been in force since the inception of the college. The union is very active in organising many activities and awareness programmes to make the students ideal and responsible humanitarians.
The Student Union conducts meetings every year, puts the agenda for discussion and takes necessary steps. The minutes of the meeting are recorded in a book. It also suggests to promote discipline and harmony on the campus.
The committee comprises of faculty and students as members. It organises seminars, workshops, rallies, awareness programmes, extension activities etc., to motivate the students. The union plays a key role in encouraging students for active participation to celebrate the National Days of importance such as Independence Day, Republic Day, Teacher’s Day, Children’s Day, Fresher’s Day, Voters Day, etc., on the campus. Entertainment programmes are organised and snacks are distributed to the students. It is a customary practice of the union to felicitate teaching and non-teaching staff who complete 25 years of service on every Teachers Day. It also honours the Best Teacher awardees. The staff and students raise funds to extend a helping hand to serve nation by offering money, rice, clothes, blankets etc., during natural calamities.
