Participated in the World Music Day Celebrations conducted by Hailand and the Dappu Dance programme performed by our students won the appreciation of all on 21-06-2013.
The Cultural Association organized a special programme on ‘Importance of Fine Arts’ on 7-09-2013. Sri Raghu Kunche, Cine Music Director was the Chief Guest.
The cultural team participated in Krishna University Youth Festival–2013 conducted by Krishna University on 7th, 8th and 9th Dec, 2013 and Folk Orchestra, Folk Dance and Group Singing (Patriotic) won I place and selected to represent Krishna University in South Zone Youth Festival held at Bangalore University, Bangalore from 19th to 23rd Dec, 2013.
In South Zone Inter University Youth Festival held at Bangalore University, Bangalore from 19th to 23rd Dec, 2013, in Folk Orchestra the team got II place and was selected for National Youth Festival held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana on 18th Feb- 2014.
The team also participated in Folk Dance competition conducted by Govt of Andhra Pradesh from 28th to 30th Dec, 2013 at Silparamam, Hyderabad.
The cultural team received Rs.1, 00, 000/- as first prize in the Folk Dance in the State Level Cultural Competitions conducted by Nachore conducted by Rotary Club of Peddapuram and Samalkot on 25th Jan, 2014 at Rajahmundry.
In Folk Orchestra the team represented Krishna University and got II place at All India Level in the National Youth Festival held at Kurukshetra University, Haryana on 18th Feb- 2014.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES: 2014-2015
I am very proud to say that our college has the best cultural team in the State and since 2006 our cultural team represented Acharya Nagarjuna University & Krishna University at South Zone and National Youth Festival presenting various forms of folk dance of Andhra Pradesh, and other events in Indian Group Song, Theatre Arts and Folk Orchestra at Zonal and National level and brought many laurels to the institution.
On the occasion of Andhra Kesari Tanguturi Prakasam Pantulu Jayanthi Celebrations in collaboration with Government of Andhra Pradesh, the Association conducted Inter-Collegiate competitions in Patriotic Songs and Mono Action for the local college students on 22-08-2014.
The cultural team secured I place in Folk Orchestra in Inter-Collegiate Youth Festival conducted by Krishna University, Machilipatnam from 13th to 15th Nov, 2014.
On the occasion of 30th Junior National Athletic Meet, the cultural team presented an item before the august gathering of M.Ps and M.L.As of Guntur and Krishna District (A.P.) on 26-11-2014.
In the South Zone Inter-University Youth Festival sponsored by the Association of Indian Universities and Ministry of Youth Affairs, Govt of India our team bagged II prize in Folk Orchestra at Tummkuru, Karnataka and selected for National Youth Festival held at Indoor, Madhya Pradesh 10th Feb, 2015.
Our team was selected to represent India in South Asian Youth Festival at Udayapur, Rajasthan on 11th Mar, 2015.
bagged I place in Folk Dance and II place in Folk Song in the competitions conducted by Govt of A.P. at District Level and selected for State Competitions.
secured I place in Folk Dance conducted by Govt of Andhra Pradesh and selected for Nationals held at Gowhati, Assam.
gave a performance at the opening of 26th Junior National Athletic Meet and got appreciation from Member of Parliament Sri Rayapati Sambasiva Rao and Hon’ble Speaker, Sri Kodela Siva Prasad.
Our team was invited by Tourism Department of Vijayanagaram District to give a performance and got appreciation from Member of Parliament Sri.Ashoka Gajapati Raju.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES 2015-16:
The cultural team performed Folk Orchestra at the inaugural session of Cultural Competitions at Silparamam, Tirupati in the month of May, 2015.
The team under the leadership of Dr.T. Vijaya Lakshmi, Principal, and the co-ordinators Smt.M.Sarala Devi & Smt.D. Uma, participated in TANA – 2015 held at Detroit, U.S.A. from 2-07-2015 to 4-07-2015.
The team gave performance on the occasion of Adoption of 175 villages in A.P and signing of MoU by PadmaVibhushan Ratan Tata on 24-08-2015. The programme was appreciated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
The team was felicitated by the Engineers Association on 24-08-2015 for their performance at TANA.
The team stood first in the event Move It (Dance Competition) in the one day State Level Techno Cultural meet, BLITZKRIEZ’ 15 organized by Student Association of Computer Science, P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts & Science, VJA on 25th Sep, 2015.
Participated in Krishna University Youth Festival, KRISHNA TARANG- 2015 from 4-01-2016 to 6-01-2016 and secured the following prizes –
I place in Indian Group Song, Western Group Song, Folk Orchestra, Folk Dance, Classical Solo Dance & Collage.
II place in Cartooning.
III place in Classical Vocal Solo, Light vocal Solo & Spot Painting.
The folk orchestra gave rocking performance on the Foundation Day of Amarraja Batteries, Karacambody, Tirupati on 26-12-2015 and was felicitated by Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Sri Galla Jayadev.
The same team gave an enthralling performance on the valedictory Session of Nandi Natakotsav- 2016 in Tirupati and won the appreciation of the Chief Minister, Hon’ble Ministers Murali Mohan, K. Narayana, Ghanta Srinivasa Rao, Member of Parliament, Tirupai, C.Siva Prasad and the organizing committee on 27-01-2016.
Participated in South Zone Inter University Youth Festival held at Mangalore University, Mangalore from 18-01-2016 to 22-01-2016 and secured II place in Folk Orchestra & III place in Folk Dance.
The Folk Orchestra team gave a wonderful performance in Vizag on the occasion of Visakha Utsav on 1st Jan, 2016 and felicitated by honorable Education Minister Sri.Ganta Srinivasa Rao.
The folk Dance team got III place and received Rs.3000/- cash prize in the dance competitions conducted by Rotary District 3020, Vijayawada on 3-01-2016.
Folk Orchestra was selected for National Youth Festival to be held at Mysore University, Mysore from 15th to 19th Feb, 2016.
CULTURAL ACTIVITIES 2016-17:
Happy Sunday was celebrated on 3/07/2016 on M.G. Road from 6: 00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Nearly 400 students and faculty participated in it by conducting indoor games and outdoor games. The cultural team of our college presented wonderful events and it was a feast to the eyes of the citizens of Vijayawada. The programme is appreciated by the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Sri Nara Chandra Babu Naidu, other Ministers & Govt. Officials.
Our cultural team participated in KRISHNA TARANG- 2016, Youth Festival at Krishna University, Machilipatnam from 26-11-2016 to 28-11-2016 and secured.
I place in Western Group Song, Folk Orchestra, Folk Dance, Classical Dance Solo and Poster Making.
II place in Collage, Indian Group Song, Western Solo, Percussion instrumental Solo.
III place in Mime & Classical Solo.
Our Folk Orchestra and Folk Dance teams performed at Doordarshan Vijayawada on the eve of New year (31-12-2016), which was telecast on 31-12-2016 through Saptagiri Channel.
Our Folk Orchestra and Folk Dance teams got selected to represent Krishna University at 32nd South Zone Inter University Youth Festival held at Bangalore University, Bangalore from 16-12-2016 to 20-12-2016 and secured I place in Folk orchestra and III place in Folk Dance . The two teams got selected for National Youth Festival to be held at Sivaji University, Kolhapur, Maharastra from 10-02-2017 to 14-02-2017.
Folk Orchestra team was selected for South Asian Youth Festival (SAUFEST) to be held at Devi Ahalya University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh from 27-02-2017 to 4-03-2017.
Participated in National youth Festival held at Shivaji university, Kolhapur, Maharastra from 10-2-2017 to 14-2-2017 and secured I place in Procession Rally and III place in Folk Orchestra.
