Department of Physical Education
The Department of Physical Education came into existence in 1983 under the guidance of founder Physical Directress, Dr. G. Vanaja Kumari. Since its inception, the department has engaged in relentless pursuit of excellence in the promotion and development of sports through coaching and has evolved a holistic mind and spirit. The Department has produced many young women who transformed themselves into integrated, empowered and holistic sports women with sound physical, mental and spiritual faculties. Some of the sports students have carved a niche for themselves among their fraternity all over the state and nation by participating in tournaments and winning basketful of prizes. The Department provides excellent indoor and outdoor facilities. A good play ground exists on the campus for games such as Badminton, Hand Ball, Volley Ball, Basket Ball, Kho-Kh0, Kabaddi and Athletics. There are well-equipped Gymnasium, Table-Tennis Hall and Badminton etc. The Department has a very good track record not only in state level and National level achievements, but also organization of intercollegiate University level, State level and National level tournaments.
