Overview of Alumnae Association
The Alumnae association of SDMSMK is named as Durga Priya. Durga Priya is a formed in the year 1994. Durga Priya is a registered body with registration number:360/22-6-1994. SDMSMK contributed many gems of students to the society by shaping them into educationists, scientists, writers, entrepreneurs, teachers etc…, The Alumnae association brings all of them together on a single platform. The purpose of this association is to take some suggestions from the alumnae to make the institution better. It works to strengthen ties between the institute and alumni.
Alumnae are the brand ambassadors of the institution they generated from. Alumnae organizations are the reflection of its past and representation of its future. The association will serve as a single window to reconnect to the college and fellow alumni.
The institute takes immense pleasure to organize different activities inviting the alumnae back to their alma mater.
During the reunions various activities are organized which include visits to campus, Departments, library and laboratories
The institute goes hand in hand with our alumnae to extend their support for the development of curriculum, infrastructure, social responsibility, connect with alumnae and industry.
The Alumnae association is supporting the student community for a lifelong learning with scheduled activities to enrich the knowledge in the areas of life skills, communication skills and employability skills.
The Alumnae association conducts regular meetings where in the members freely and closely interact with each other about the development of the college and also their role and contribution. The faculty also interact with the members of Alumnae association especially on the matters of curriculum design and the development of value-added programs.
The contribution of the Alumnae for the growth and progress of the college is immeasurable. An updated website is maintained which facilitates Alumnae to learn more about the organization. The distinguished Alumnae were honored and felicitated during the college annual day celebrations.
