Political Science

Overview

The Department of Political Science was established in 1983 when BA Programme in Telugu Medium was introduced with History, Economics and Political Science as core subjects. In 2005, a new Certificate Course “Concepts and Theories of Public Administration” was started. Project Work was made mandatory for the final year students since 2007. In 2008 a Foundation Course was initiated for first year students. An Add-on Course titled “Perspective of Indian Constitution” was introduced from the academic year 2017-2018. The Department regularly conducts Assignments, Quiz, Seminars, Group Discussions and Remedial Classes for the students.

Tutorial Record has been maintained for the slow and weak learners.  Parent-Teacher Meets are arranged regularly. Students are provided with Study Material and Slip Tests are conducted at regular intervals.
