Overview

               The Department of Electronics was established in the year 1986 as an Under-graduate programme with Electronics as core subject. Electronics today stands at the forefront of the rapidly expanding horizon of Science and Technology.

          The ease, the precision, the sophistication and the flexibility provided by Electronics in all walks of life and industrial systems have made it a very important subject of study. It is indeed considered as a catalyst of scientific and technological progress.

        The Department has well qualified teaching and non-teaching staff with excellent technical skills who work with dedication and determination.  It offers Add-on course on Basic Digital Electronics and Value added courses in Cell-phone servicing, Mixie Mechanism and Maintenance of Electronic Gadgets.

 AIM:

             The aim of the Electronics Department is to provide students with a solid technical background and scientific capabilities in the design, development, and manufacturing of electronic devices and gadgets.

VISION:

            To produce technically upgraded electronics graduates and to bring out the professional and innovative skills in the core areas of Electronics.

MISSION

1. To provide quality education in the domain of Electronics.
2. To create knowledge of Fundamental Principles and Innovative technologies through teaching, learning and focusing on Project Management.
3. To train the students to develop skills for solving technological problems.

OBJECTIVES

• Students are encouraged to do mini-projects involving embedded systems and its applications.
• To train the students in soldering.
• To be able to solve problems through analytical thinking in their own or related fields.

 CURRICULUM   DEVELOPMENT

               The curriculum is periodically updated keeping in mind the latest advances in the field of Electronics. The syllabus is designed in such a way that the students gain a strong foundation in Electronics and its applications. It aims at providing students a strong practical knowledge with emphasis on Application Oriented subjects in Electronics.
